Thompson: “I’m Surprised The Voter Turnout Was That Low”
Parliamentary Registration Department Commissioner, Harrison Thompson says he is surprised at the low voter turnout in Tuesday’s general election, despite recognizing high energy from registered voters.
However, Thompson says the voting process went extremely smooth on Election Day, a vast difference from the challenges occurred during Advanced Poll Day.
Thompson also commented on COI Leader, Lincoln Bain’s decision to go the Election Court after the Pinewood Constituency ballot recount on Wednesday, telling reporters that “we live in a democratic society” and that “we will wait to see what happens.”
