Saint Lucians could soon be paying more for water, as regulators move closer to a final decision on WASCO’s proposed rate adjustments. But with many communities still struggling through inconsistent supply and ongoing service disruptions, concerns are growing over whether customers should face higher bills before major improvements are seen. Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre says while he understands the frustration, the law leaves the final decision entirely in the hands of the National Utilities Regulatory Commission.
