At the opening ceremony of the Caribbean Development Bank’s 56th Annual Meeting, Minister of Finance Michael Halkitis called for fairer development systems that better reflect the Caribbean’s unique vulnerabilities, including high debt burdens and climate-related challenges. He also stressed the importance of strong institutions, transparency and regional partnerships in building resilience and securing long-term prosperity for the region.
