Important notice regarding the Public Assistance Program (PAP)
The Department of Equity, Social Justice, Gender, and Older Persons has announced the temporary suspension of Public Assistance Program (PAP) payments for approximately 1,200 households.
This suspension follows a failure by household representatives to participate in two consecutive review exercises conducted by the Welfare Unit during the 2025–2026 review period. The program remains available to all eligible households that meet compliance requirements.
