U.S. Launches New Strike On Iran After Trump Vows To Hit 'Hard' | TVJ News
The US military has launched new strikes on Iran after President Donald Trump said US forces would hit the country hard following an exchange of fire earlier this week.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) says it began additional self-defence strikes at 5:15 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday against multiple targets in Iran, at the direction of the Commander-in-Chief.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes are in response to what it described as Iran’s continued aggression.
The US had also launched strikes on Iran on Tuesday after claims that Tehran downed a US Army helicopter, prompting Iran’s Revolutionary Guard to respond with attacks on US bases in the region.
Hours before the latest strikes, President Trump warned that the US would hit Iran hard again.
