Finance Minister Defends $500M Drawdown From FSC | TVJ News
Minister of Finance Fayval Williams is justifying the $500 million drawdown from the Financial Services Commission (FSC).
During a post-Cabinet press briefing this morning, Minister Williams provided an explanation. She says the proposed amendment is with the drafters and is expected to be ready by the end of the week.
Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Julian Robinson, raised questions in Parliament on Tuesday about the decision, arguing concerns about the timing while pointing to the FSC’s finances and the recent increase in some regulatory fees.
