Spoken word poetry continues to gain momentum in Trinidad and Tobago, offering a powerful platform for storytelling, self-expression and social reflection. This weekend, the Borderlines Road Show makes its second and final stop of the 2026 tour at San Fernando City Hall, bringing together poetry, music and live performance.
Borderlines co-founders and National Poetry Slam champions Derron Sandy and Idrees Saleem join Virmala to discuss the evolution of the platform, the growing appeal of spoken word, and what audiences can expect from an evening that celebrates creativity, community and the Father’s Day season.
