A recent snake bite involving a three-year-old girl in Millet is shining a spotlight on a growing concern across Saint Lucia. Agriculture Minister Lisa Jawahir says the child is recovering well, but warns that both snake sightings and snake bite cases are increasing islandwide. Officials say warmer temperatures and snakes being unintentionally transported into new communities are contributing to the trend, prompting renewed public warnings and an expansion of emergency response measures.
