SEA MOSS FARMING GETS MAJOR BOOST IN SAINT LUCIA
Sea moss farming in southern Saint Lucia is getting a major boost through a new initiative aimed at strengthening livelihoods, restoring marine ecosystems, and building coastal resilience.
The Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund (SLUNCF), in partnership with the Department of Fisheries, is making significant strides to support sea moss farmers while improving the health of key coastal areas. The project will assist in maintaining sea moss farms and establish designated farming zones to enhance productivity while minimizing conflicts with other users of Savannes Bay.
