Meet Lavar Munroe, a veteran of the domestic and international art scene, who represented The Bahamas at the 61st International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale.
In a conversation on the sidelines of Art Talk with Inspired/by and The Current at ECCHO Art Gallery at Baha Mar on Wednesday, Munroe reflects on the inspiration behind his work, created in collaboration with the late John Beadle.
He also describes The Bahamas’ return to the Biennale as a historic milestone, marking the country’s first participation in 15 years.
