Cancer Society President: “This Project Is Very Important To Us”
Cancer Society of The Bahamas President, Rochelle Wilkinson, said the groundbreaking for the organization’s facility expansion marks an important step in meeting the growing needs of cancer patients.
She noted that the society currently has just 10 patient rooms, limiting its ability to accommodate those in need, particularly patients traveling from the Family Islands.
The expansion will add more patient rooms and conference space, with plans to eventually introduce hospice care.
