AAIA Chief Investigator: Preliminary Investigation Underway
Crash investigators say the ill fated flight that crashed in North Andros Friday, killing all 10 people on board was preparing to land at the time of the accident.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority (AAIA) held its first press conference this morning since Friday’s deadly crash to provide an update on the investigation.
Chief Investigator Kendall Dorsett Jr. said the preliminary investigations show the aircraft’s landing gear and flaps were extended, leading investigators to conclude the plane was preparing to land when it crashed.
Dorsett said a preliminary report is expected within 30 days, while the final report could take up to a year.
