TVJ News Clarifies Reporting on MP McKenzie Pepper-Spray Incident | TVJ News
Radio Jamaica and Television Jamaica News takes the opportunity to clarify an issue raised by West Kingston Member of Parliament Desmond McKenzie in the clip we just aired from a political meeting last night.
Our initial reports indicated that the MP was pepper-sprayed in the vicinity of the Darling Street Police Station, where a crowd had gathered.
However, when we later received information that the incident had, in fact, occurred on Bustamante Highway, some distance away in Tivoli Gardens, we updated our reports to reflect this.
None of our stories suggested that the Minister and Member of Parliament was intimidating the police or was hostile in any way.
