Pinewood Gardens Drainage Project Underway
The Ministry of Works says lift stations for the $2.6 million Pinewood Drainage Project are expected to arrive by the end of August, helping to pump excess water ahead of the rainy season.
Minister of Works Clay Sweeting said three lift stations will be installed throughout the Pinewood Gardens community, including one on Sapodilla Boulevard, where the drainage project is now underway. Officials say the area is ground zero for flooding in Pinewood Gardens.
Assistant Engineer at the Ministry of Works Mario Smith said there are approximately 50–60 drains throughout the Pinewood Gardens community.
