Prime Minister Philip Davis, joined by senior officials from Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) and Bahamas Grid Company, toured the Baillou Hill and Soldier Road Power Station following the fault that caused the early morning island-wide blackout.

Addressing the media, Davis said his administration inherited an aging electricity system that has reached the end of its operational life and now requires significant repairs and upgrades.

Meanwhile, BPL Chief Operating Officer Anthony Christie provided an update on ongoing repair efforts and outlined timelines for the completion of key infrastructure improvements.
