"Residents Fighting For Cooper's Pen Land For Years | TVJ News
Falmouth Councillor Garth Wilkinson says residents of Coopers Pen in Trelawny have been trying to regularise the land they occupy since 2006.
Mr. Wilkinson says that following the court ruling, efforts were made to facilitate the residents’ purchase of the property.
He says a socio-economic survey conducted with the Ministry of Housing found the settlement to be of a high standard, with residents paying for electricity and water rather than accessing the utilities illegally.
