Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre continues to advance measures aimed at reducing the cost of energy for Saint Lucian families and businesses, while strengthening the country’s transition to renewable energy.
Under the new measure, VAT will be zero-rated on key photovoltaic system components and installation services for five years, making it more affordable for households and businesses to invest in solar energy.
The initiative supports the Government’s broader efforts to lower energy costs, reduce Saint Lucia’s dependence on imported fuel and strengthen the country’s long-term energy security.
The transition to renewable energy must ultimately translate into real savings, greater resilience and a better quality of life for the people of Saint Lucia.
