Energy Minister Reports Continued Interest In Refinery Acquisition
The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Dr Roodal Moonilal, has indicated that the Government continues to receive expressions of interest in the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery.
Minister Moonilal made the comments as he spoke to members of the media after a book distribution programme in his constituency on Friday.
« There are several interested parties. In the coming weeks, another interested party may join us to take a look and have technical discussions with our people. So there’s no shortage of suitors for the refinery. It is just that we have to meet and treat with all offers and all those concerned in a very fair, transparent manner, and that is what we’re about now. So that process is unravelling as we speak. Just this morning I received communications from another entity with great interest in that. »
