RECEIVED WITH THANKS [24TH AUGUST 2026] – The family of 24-year-old Joy St. Omer is pressing the government for answers surrounding her death, formally calling for a Commission of Inquiry into the circumstances that preceded her passing. Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has confirmed that the request is under consideration, but is making no commitment on whether the inquiry will be granted. He says the matter requires careful deliberation before any decision is made.
