DPM: “An Evolution Takes Time, A Revolution Takes Longer”
40,000 students returned to classrooms across The Bahamas today as the 2026–2027 school year gets underway.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Chester Cooper made the announcement at the start of the Back-to-School Tour, following his national address last night, titled “The Revolution in Education.”
This morning, Cooper said the government is not trying to “reinvent the wheel” when it comes to education, but wants to develop students who are not only focused on passing exams, but are also equipped with a mission to become owners and creators of opportunities.
