BPL CEO: “Customers Experienced Approximately One Hour and Eleven Minutes of Interruption”

Bahamas Power and Light CEO Toni Pratt addressed an early morning power outage that impacted thousands of residents and businesses across the island on Friday morning. In a video statement, Pratt explained that three generators at the Clifton Pier power station tripped offline, which led to the outage.
She also said restoration teams mobilized within 16 minutes of the outage and were able to restore power to BPL customers after one hour and 11 minutes.
