PLP Chairman Pays Tribute to Former MP Neville Wisdom
PLP Chairman Fred Mitchell says former Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister Neville Wisdom will be remembered for his passion for culture, sports and young people. Mitchell, who served with Wisdom in the Perry Christie-led cabinet between 2002 and 2007, said his former colleague left a lasting mark on the country.
The PLP chairman said the former Youth, Sports and Culture Minister played a key role in bettering Junkanoo, supporting young people and advancing sports. He added that his advice continues to impact the PLP long after he left office. Mitchell also extended condolences to Wisdom’s wife, his son and the wider family.
Wisdom’s family said he died this morning at the age of 76-years-old in western New Providence home.
