[8TH SEPTEMBER 2026] – For many men, a visit to the doctor may come only when something feels wrong. But when it comes to prostate cancer, waiting for symptoms could come at a cost. As September is observed globally as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Health is urging men to take a more proactive approach to their health. Officials warn that waiting for symptoms can delay diagnosis and are encouraging men to understand their risk, overcome misconceptions, and seek regular screening and medical advice.
