Racing United started brightly against Arnett Gardens, putting the Jungle under pressure from the opening whistle.
Tajay Grant was at the heart of the attack, firing off early attempts and constantly threatening the Arnett Gardens defence. The pressure eventually paid off when Racing were awarded a penalty after a challenge inside the box.
Grant stepped up and made no mistake, calmly converting to score Racing United’s first goal of the Jamaica Premier League season.
With the dangerous combination of Tajay Grant and Nik Ellis causing problems, Racing United looked full of confidence as they took a 1–0 lead.
