Government Expands Water Access In St Ann | TVJ News
More than forty thousand residents in communities across St. Ann are set to benefit from improved access to piped water. This follows the activation of three infrastructure projects at a cost of $380 million.
The projects include upgrades in Discovery Point, Retreat, Runaway Bay and Brown’s Town.
Water Minister Matthew Samuda commissioned the first phase of the Brown’s Town-to-Retreat pipeline, expected to serve about six thousand residents.
An upgrade to the Minard Well is expected to benefit another 35 thousand residents.
The Ministry says the projects are part of efforts to expand the national water network and improve its service to communities.
