Former Grand Lucayan Employee: “I Did Not Recieve My Severance Pay”
A former Grand Lucayan Resort employee battling cancer made an emotional plea this morning, calling on the government to make severance payments to scores of employees who were made redundant.
The Davis administration completed a redundancy exercise for roughly 274 to 279 employees at the Grand Lucayan Resort on February 27, 2026, to clear the way for redevelopment by Concord Wilshire Group.
Betsy Hepburn told reporters during a press conference this morning that medical bills have piled up, and that today, all of her utilities are shut off in her Grand Bahama home.
