DPM on C.C Sweeting: We Will Not Open The School Until It Has Been Sufficiently Inspected
Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Education, Chester Cooper says that C.C. Sweeting High School will not re-open until it has been “sufficiently inspected” by all parties including Bahamas Grid Company, Bahamas Power and Light and The Ministry of Works, following its electrical upgrades.
The ongoing electrical upgrades follow an electrical incident on Monday, where three students received minor burns due to a faulty electrical wire.
Cooper says the ongoing work is expected to be completed on Wednesday, with an official announcement on the school’s re-opening to be made once the work is completed.
