And a minor earthquake was recorded in St. Thomas while heavy rains pounded the parish Friday evening.
The Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies says the 3.0 magnitude quake was recorded at 7:20 p.m.
Its epicentre was one kilometre southeast of Hagley Gap in St. Thomas.
Residents in sections of St. Thomas reported feeling the tremor.
