T&T Advances To Netball World Cup After Dominant Qualifying Campaign
Trinidad and Tobago has secured a place at the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney, Australia.
The Calypso Girls secured their place following a massive 107-16 win over the British Virgin Islands in the Americas Netball World Cup Qualifiers at the Sir Garfield Sobers Complex in Bridgetown, Barbados, on Sunday. The team remains unbeaten and atop the standings ahead of its final qualifier against Barbados.
With the top two teams qualifying for next year’s showpiece, T&T has done enough to book its place at the World Cup.
Sixteen nations will compete at the World Cup, with the top six teams in the world gaining automatic qualification.
They include host Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, England, South Africa and Uganda.
