CAFFE Seeks Answers Over Delayed By-Elections | TVJ News
Citizens’ Action for Free and Fair Elections is demanding answers from three mayors over four delayed municipal by-elections, leaving thousands without elected representation for more than a year.
The affected divisions are Maxfield Park, Seivwright Gardens, Petersfield and Morant Bay.
CAFFE says the delays breach the three-month by-election timeline under the Representation of the People Act, raising constitutional and legal concerns.
The group is calling for immediate action, warning that affected electors could seek court intervention to force the polls.
