Laroda: Human Remains Found on Plane Wreckage
National Security Minister Myles LaRoda has confirmed that human remains have been found in connection with the aircraft that went down south of New Providence on Sunday.
The discovery came amid ongoing search efforts for Exuma pilot Clayton Patterson Smith, who was piloting a Piper PA-32 plane when air traffic control lost contact with the aircraft.
The search has involved the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), Smith’s family and members of the Exuma boating community.
On Tuesday, aircraft parts believed to be connected to the missing aircraft were also recovered.
More details are expected to be revealed as Minister LaRoda is expected to brief the House of Assembly on the tragic news this morning.
