Vendor: “It Was a Total Disaster Down Here”

Vendors at Goodman’s Bay say they are facing alleged harassment from officials of the Bahamas Public Parks & Public Beaches Authority following the arrival of vendors relocated from Cabbage Beach.
The relocated vendors were moved from Cabbage Beach amid plans for a $300 million development in the area. However, the arrival of the new vendors at Goodman’s Bay has reportedly led to tensions and disputes among vendors.
Seaside Destination Services says it has requested a meeting with Prime Minister Philip Davis and has also contacted the Authority in an effort to address the concerns.
However, the Goodman’s Bay vendor says those efforts have so far been unsuccessful.
