Sweeting: “I Encourage The Public To Be Partners In This”
The Ministry of Works is turning to artificial intelligence (AI) to help identify potholes and improve road maintenance across The Bahamas.
This morning, officials demonstrated the new technology to members of the media, with Assistant Engineer Kenrick Stubbs showcasing how the system detects potholes on roads.
Minister of Works Clay Sweeting stressed that while AI technology will assist the Ministry in identifying potholes, the public also has an important role to play by reporting damaged roads.
The initiative is part of the Ministry’s efforts to improve road maintenance and address ongoing concerns about potholes.
