Gros Islet Stadium Renamed in Honour of Sporting Legends.(September 9th 2025)
Gros Islet’s main stadium has been officially renamed the Francis Baba Lastic Grounds, marking a significant upgrade and a broader initiative to honour the community’s sporting legends.
Several new facilities and areas within the complex now bear the names of iconic local athletes, recognizing their contributions across football, cricket, squash, and volleyball.
