Over 100 Evacuees Gather in Exuma Amid Hurricane Threat
Exuma and Ragged Island Family Island Administrator Cristian Palacios says Exuma is now serving as a central hub for evacuees from the Southern Bahamas. Residents from Acklins, Inagua, and Ragged Island and being transported into Exuma in route to New Providence. So far, 59 people have been evacuated from Acklins and Inagua, with 41 scheduled from Ragged Island — seven of whom have already arrived.
