Delon Charlery was sentenced to 20 years and two months in prison in Antigua for the murder of his girlfriend, Customs Officer Zorina Benjamin, after CCTV footage showed him deliberately taking the safety off her gun before shooting her in her home in November 2021. Charlery’s attempts to cover up the crime, including tampering with locks, trying to flee the island, and giving false statements, were contradicted by video evidence, and he received credit for his guilty plea and time already served.
