Michael Philip St. Catherine, who lost his bid for the Micoud North seat in the 2021 general election, has once again entered the race as one of a crowded field of independent candidates vying for the coveted constituency. Once considered a united workers party stronghold, Micoud North broke with history to elect the Saint Lucia Labour party in the last poll, setting the stage for a keenly contested election this December.
