Government says it plans to change the fortunes of millions of unemployed South Africans over the next five years. Five-million jobs have been earmarked as part of the Expanded Public Works Programme, which has now been in existence for two decades. President Cyril Ramaphosa says that despite the country's challenges, the EPWP is one of the ANC's success stories. A witness who may not be named or identified has testified in the case against Mark Lifman, Jerome Booysen and 12 others. The alleged underworld bosses and members of the 27 gang are appearing in the Western Cape High Court. They have been charged with gang-related crimes committed across the City of Cape Town, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, intimidation and money laundering. Meanwhile, in a separate courtroom, Lifman’s alleged rival, Nafiz Modack and 14 of his co-accused are on trial for the murder of Anti-Gang detective, Charl Kinnear, attempted murder, extortion and contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime Act. eNCA's Ayesha Ismail reports. #DStv403

An investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has again singled out Meyiwa's then-girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo as the mastermind behind his killing. This through recent confessions by two of the accused and calls she made to accused 3, Mthobisi Mncube but Mncube's lawyer says the state has no evidence linking his client to the case and calls between him and Khumalo prove nothing.
