The world's largest shipping group, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), has announced it is diverting its ships away from the Red Sea because of increased threat of attacks. French company CMA CGM took a similar step a day after Danish shipping giant Maersk and German transport company Hapag-Lloyd suspended Red Sea journeys. The Red Sea is one the world's most important routes for oil and fuel shipments. The decision comes after attacks by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The US said on Saturday its guided-missile destroyers had shot down 14 Houthi drones in the Red Sea. Des combats ont éclaté entre l'armée gouvernementale soudanaise et les paramilitaires des Forces de soutien rapide dans les faubourgs de Wad Madani, dans l'État d'Aj Jazirah, au sud-est de la capitale #Khartoum. Selon l'ONU, 14 000 personnes ont fui la zone jusqu'à présent, et quelques milliers ont déjà rejoint d'autres villes. Les autorités locales ont annoncé l'état d'urgence et instauré un couvre-feu. Les magasins et les marchés sont fermés depuis vendredi. Les belligérants ont coupé les principales lignes de transport pour prendre le contrôle de la ville. La guerre civile a éclaté au Soudan en avril dernier, après des différends sur la transition vers la démocratie et l'intégration des deux forces. Wad Madani a servi de plaque tournante pour les opérations humanitaires depuis lors, cependant la mission humanitaire sur le terrain dans l'État a été forcée de suspendre ses activités. Selon l'ONU, le conflit a déjà fait plus de 12 000 morts, environ un million et demi de réfugiés et plus de 5,4 millions de personnes déplacées à l'intérieur du pays. Los participantes han puesto de manifiesto las dificultades para avanzar hacia la reducción de emisiones y han concluido que debe abordarse desde la neutralidad tecnológica.
