Julien Alfred defeated world 200m champion Melissa Jefferson Wooden in the women’s 200m at the Rome Diamond League, clocking 21.93 seconds after pulling away in the second half of the race.
The win strengthens Alfred’s strong 2026 season form and adds to her rise as one of the world’s leading sprinters following her Olympic success in Paris.
