Aviation Minister Confirms Flamingo Air Mayaguana Flight Returned to LPIA
Before the tragic plane crash on North Andros this afternoon that claimed 10 lives, there was another incident involving a Flamingo Air plane early this morning.
Energy, Utilities, and Aviation Minister Jobeth Coleby-Davis confirmed the incident during a press conference this evening, where she told reporters the flight was scheduled to head from the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) to Mayaguana.
Coleby-Davis said that shortly after taking off, the pilot had some concerns and turned the plane back around. She said when the plane landed, they saw a fire. No one was injured.
