BAGATELLE CALDER HALL MUD MAS ORGANISERS RAISE CONCERNS OVER CARNIVAL DAY RESTRICTIONS
Concerns are being raised over the future and visibility of traditional mud mas in Tobago, with organisers from Bagatelle and Calder Hall questioning decisions surrounding the staging of the cultural activity during the island’s Carnival celebrations. The organisers, who say they have been keeping the mud mas tradition alive for more than three decades, are expressing frustration over what they describe as repeated challenges in securing permission to bring the band onto the streets on Carnival’s final day.
