After reports of several impetigo cases at EP Roberts Primary School, Bahama Bahamas Educators, Counsellors, and Allied Workers Union (BECAWU) President Keysha Laroda visited the school on Thursday morning to follow up on the Ministry of Education’s deep cleaning.

Impetigo, which is a highly contagious bacterial skin infection that mostly affects infants and young children, resulted in the temporary closure of two other public schools over the last week. Those schools included the Samuel Guy Pinder Comprehensive School in Spanish Wells and the Gambier Primary School in western New Providence.

Laroda told Our News reporter Joshua Williams this morning that she is seeking clarity on how much of the school was cleaned.
