BPL Station Manager: “We Are Now In The Process Of Putting All The Units Back On Load”
Bahamas Power and Light Station Manager Kennard Whyms says lightning struck a transformer on a rental unit at the Blue Hills Power Station around 5:30 a.m. today, sparking a fire.
Whyms says the strike caused a fault on the system, and BPL is now working to stabilize the grid and restore the system to its regular state.
