The St. Omer family’s call for a Commission of Inquiry into Saint Lucia’s justice system remains on hold as the government awaits legal advice. Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre says Cabinet must determine whether the proposed inquiry could interfere with the criminal proceedings arising from Joy St. Omer’s death before making a decision.
