Calypso Fraternity pays tribute to the Might Terra
(Pancruce McGriffin Theodore, also known as ‘Blakes’ or ‘Mac’) was a legendary Saint Lucian calypso pioneer, economist, and educator born in Vieux Fort on October 3, 1939. He famously won the national calypso crown seven to eight times between 1957 and 1963, helping shape the island’s modern kaiso movement. He passed away on July 19, 2026, at age 86.
