LISTWA LÈSISYON [12TH OCTOBER 2026] – As Saint Lucia celebrates Creole Heritage Month, efforts to preserve the island’s rich cultural traditions are reaching a younger generation. The Folk Research Centre is taking cultural education beyond the classroom, engaging students of the Canaries Primary School in an initiative designed to deepen their appreciation of Saint Lucia’s Kwéyòl heritage. Through this outreach, the Centre hopes to inspire young Saint Lucians to embrace their cultural identity and play an active role in preserving the traditions that define the nation. Amanda King tells us more.
