CARIB Brewery has announced new prices on select beverages, following the government’s recent increase in excise duties on alcohol.

The company says under Legal Notice Number 376, excise duty has doubled from $5.14 to $10.28 per litre, prompting what it calls a “responsible and measured” price adjustment.

Effective October 16th, the suggested retail price for Carib and Stag beer is now thirteen dollars, while Royal Extra Stout will retail at fifteen dollars. Guinness and Heineken have both increased to twenty-two dollars.

Non-alcoholic beverages such as Malta and Shandy now retail at ten dollars, while products like Smirnoff Ice, Caribe Hard Cider, Ginseng-up and Heineken 0.0 remain unchanged.

CARIB Brewery says it has kept adjustments to a minimum.
