« We Are Not Okay:” The combination of Hurricane Dorian trauma & COVID-19 pandemic isolation still continues to affect the mental health of many Grand Bahamians and Abaconians, who are still putting the pieces together.

Our Evlynn Ferguson speaks with the producer and director of the D6 Project: We Are Not Okay film, Juliette Storr, who talks about about the effects of Hurricane Dorian and COVID-19, which subsequently took a toll on the mental health for many Bahamians. Storr also mentions the cultural stigma attached to mental health in The Bahamas, and adds that the film also speaks about the resources that a person can receive if they are struggling mentally.

The screenings for the film will be on May 22-24 at the Fusion Superplex, 5:30 PM each day.
