As the country braces for another hurricane season, the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) is reporting that some $2 billion in recovery financing has been approved for businesses affected by Hurricane Melissa.

The DBJ says the figure underscores the scale of the challenges business operators continue to face months after the storm.

However, the institution insists that the focus must now shift from recovery to resilience, as businesses prepare for future weather-related shocks.
